VW Settlement Update
We are currently processing submitted claims. The proposed Settlement is required to go back to Court for certification before payments can be made.
If your claim appears in a state of ‘Draft’, please note you have not yet finalised your submission and your claim can therefore not be processed. If you have concerns or are struggling to submit online, please contact us immediately.
If your claim appears in a state of ‘Submitted’, no further action is required from you. We will be in contact should anything else be required.
To enable a smooth and efficient process, please ensure you have submitted all of the required documents for your type of claim (please refer to the checklist below). Outstanding documents can be sent to us directly at claims@spotsettlements.co.za with the ID/registration number and name associated with the claim.
Required Documents Checklist
For personal claims (South African Claimants):
- If you have selected a bank account as your chosen method to receive payment, a bank confirmation letter is required.
- If you have chosen to receive payment via eWallet, a certified copy of ID is required.
- Bank confirmation letter (including SWIFT code for international payments)
- Please ensure you have used the deceased individual's ID number when submitting your claim and include your preferred personal details for future correspondence about the Claim.
- Certified copy of Death Certificate
- Certified copy of Proof of Authority
- Successor's bank confirmation letter
- Certified copy of Successor's ID
- Company bank confirmation letter
- Bank confirmation letter
