Settlement Agreement available for in-person perusal

Spot Settlements has been instructed by the High Court of South African to administer the Class Notice Program for the proposed VW EA189 Emissions Settlement. The Consent Orders issued by the High Court of South Africa confirming Spot Settlements’ mandate, dated 12 June 2025 and 27 October 2025, are available on the Spot Settlements website for perusal under “documents”. 

For potential claimants who wish to peruse the Settlement Agreement, physical copies have been made available in three major cities for your convenience. 

The proposed VW Settlement Agreement has not yet been approved by the Court and is therefore provisional and subject to change. For this reason, the agreement may be inspected in person at the offices listed below, but copies may not be taken or distributed at this stage to protect the integrity of the process. Once the Court has approved the settlement, the final agreement will be made publicly available.
